Walker Homes, Inc. was founded in 1988 by Johnnie Walker. After Johnnie "retired" in 2012, his son Bradley took over the business.
Bradley Walker and Arthur Lang (an honorary Walker since childhood) combined their many talents and years of experience to continue Walker Homes in honor of Johnnie.
Johnnie grew up building homes with his father in and around Washington D.C. He was the fifth generation of builders in the Walker family.
As an adult, Johnnie continued honing his craft while working alongside his father in their development and construction company, John C. Walker Company, in Chevy Chase, Maryland. Though he loved his hometown and the District, Johnnie and his wife, Lucy, were ready to leave the city for the slower pace of the Northern Neck.
